The MERCEDES-BENZ × SENSE2 STORY

A 1000 Club mug, finished for the cabinet rather than the cupboard.

The Brief

Sales-recognition gifting at the marque's tier needs to hold its own against the cars on the floor. We supplied a matte-black ceramic mug carrying the 1000 Club laurel and the Mercedes star in a high-gloss white, produced in numbers small enough to feel personal. Recipients photographed them; the cabinet not the cupboard.

The Approach

Our approach drew on three decades of branded merchandise production. With the brand creative supplied by Mercedes-Benz (or their agency), we specified the substrate to match the brand's tactile signature — sales recognition · trophy-grade · numbered run — then matched the decoration technique to the substrate (not the other way around, which is where most automotive branded merchandise programmes go wrong). Print colours were proofed to the brand's reference palette. Packaging was specified in parallel with the product itself, because in the automotive category the unboxing IS the brand encounter. Every component was sourced through Sense2's audited supply chain so the programme could ship into any automotive environment without procurement friction.
